What is photojournalism?

Photojournalism is a way of evoking emotion, causing awareness, and telling stories through pictures. These photos capture important subjects for example maybe a coaches reaction to the winning shot or maybe kids starving on the streets of Thailand. It is like journalism in a way that it tells you the news, it is just through pictures.
I think that David Longstreath took a great picture that perfectly describes photojournalism. In the picture there is a starving, dirty, naked little boy sitting alone on the streets of Thailand. This picture does a good job of saying so many things and getting people's awareness about this problem because of the news he told by taking this photo.
Don't get me wrong, I think that Dave Martin is a great photojournalist, he does a great job capturing the moment. I like his picture of the coach at the a&m football game because you can tell everyone's emotions and you can see the thoughts of everyone in the picture. Not to mention it was the perfect timing. I feel like it was the perfect picture to be his last.

This is my first post!
